Served in the army from August 1941 until December 1942.
Lioberg fought in the 627th rifle regiment of the 162nd rifle division in the 28th and 38th Armies on the Southwestern Front (battles on the Northern Donets River and Kharkov).
He was awarded an order of the first degree of the Patriotic War and medals “For Valor” and “For Victory over Germany.
