This quarter's AEEC business mixer fell right in the middle of Russian Christmas and the Old New Year. There was plenty to celebrate as well as discuss.
We had a great turnout, with representatives from many different industries, including medicine, entertainment, real estate, beauty advertising, publishing, marketing, finance, sports, and many others.
Alex Durmashkin, President of the organization, gave opening remarks about American - Eastern European Council and introduced Father Alexander Lebedev of the Holy Transfiguration Russian Orthodox Church in Los Angeles who provided the group with an overview of Russian Christmas traditions and the old Russian calendar that was replaced in 1918.
Isla Cantina Restaurant provided excellent hospitality, service, food, drinks, and music.
